01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Starbucks at 818 E Cumberland St, Dunn, NC, serves as much more than just your everyday coffee stop—it's a vibrant hub for coffee lovers and breakfast enthusiasts alike. As a trusted coffee shop, cafe, espresso bar, and internet cafe rolled into one, this location offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere paired with expertly crafted beverages and convenient amenities.

One of the standout menu delights here is the Trending Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato. This visually stunning drink layers full-bodied espresso over creamy milk infused with toasted coconut-flavored syrup, served iced and crowned with an ube coconut cold foam dusted with toasted coconut flakes. The ube introduces a sweet, nutty vanilla undertone, giving each sip a captivating depth and a gorgeous pop of purple. For those who enjoy a rich, smooth brew, the Toasted Coconut Cream Cold Brew is a must-try: Starbucks' signature cold brew elevated with luscious toasted coconut foam, delivering a refreshing tropical twist with every smooth, velvety sip.

The ambiance of this Starbucks location reflects an inviting blend of charm and functionality. Enjoying your favorite beverage here feels personal thanks to the friendly and attentive staff, who go above and beyond to greet regulars by name and accommodate special requests—though some customers have noted the occasional issue with ice amounts in drinks, a testament to how much patrons care about their perfect cup. The layout, housed in a building with historical touches like original wood flooring and beams, creates a warm yet modern vibe that balances comfort with the energetic buzz typical of a well-loved community coffeehouse.

Regulars praise the team's work ethic and positive spirit even during busy rushes. Baristas like Olivia, Andrew, Will, and Sam are often mentioned for their friendly service and genuine care, making each visit feel welcoming and effortless. While parking and traffic flow around the lot can be challenging, many find stepping over from neighboring areas worthwhile for the quality of service and atmosphere inside.

Whether you're grabbing a quick espresso to jumpstart your morning, settling in with a laptop for some productive internet cafe time, or savoring a leisurely breakfast companioned by a delicious cold brew, this Starbucks location strikes a lovely balance of consistency and local charm. It’s a dependable retreat that feels less like a chain and more like a personalized coffee experience tailored to the Dunn community.

If you’re in the area and craving that perfect blend of quality coffee and a friendly smile, Starbucks at Dunn promises not just a drink but a moment of comfort, warmth, and community connection.

I normally have a great experience at this location and genuinely love coming here—the staff is always friendly and helpful. But this is the second time I’ve asked for light ice and still received a drink that’s mostly ice. It’s super frustrating when you’re looking forward to your coffee and end up with barely any actual drink. Please go easy on the ice —it really does make a difference!

Long overdue Review I thuroughly enjoy my local starbucks! I work right down the road and go about everyday. Olivia and Andrew are the 2 that I typical enteract with here and they both are great! Some times the store gets super busy with being the only starbucks around here and there is a wait but with the staff they have, their work ethic, tyipcally never have an issue with anything; it's worth the time and they get you through as quickly as they can . I just want to give a huge thanks to everybody. It Saturday morning, its raining and cold and thanks to Ms. Olivia its a great start to the day!

Great spot! Staff was very friendly and the spot itself was beyond charming. Apparently it is an old apartment and pharmacy converted. Warmth from the use of original wood from the flooring and trusses counteracts a clean industrial look. Food was fresh and delicious. We had burgers, fish and chips as well as a few appetizers. We make this trip north and south from Florida to Virginia regularly so this will become a regular stop.

I am here everyday before and after work. Everyone is so friendly and if an accident happens with my drink they always fix it. As soon as I walk in they all greet me by my name and have my order memorized. I'm not great with names but Will, Sam, and everyone else working there are amazing.

This is a good Sbx. Its very difficult to get into and out of the lot, safely. Sometimes you'll need to park at the station next door and walk over; especially if ur not familiar with the area. Thats a hectic intersection w lots happening and that Sbx was just not well planned at all. W that said, the baristas and staff there are delightful folks and I have only ever had one person act in a less than kind manner and I've not seen them lately. When it first opened, I think they had a difficult time finding folks to uphold the Sbx level of service and it was like a Waffle House w a Sbx logo, but now everything has improved a lot and while it isn't a top Sbx its better than many and I'm glad to have it. Again..the staff is . If ur looking for merch, this is not the store. They never have much and it rarely turns over. I think it's just the area and demand. Probably just don't have the sales to justify. I'm a merch collector and I have to go elsewhere to get the Sbx stuff I want . This store is pretty clean overall, the drinks are good and the staff is great

Perfect on a hot day like today! Service was very slow but my iced vanilla bean Frappuccino was excellent and certainly worth the wait.

The coffee shop is bigger than the one in Spring Lake. It has its own parking space, a nice restroom that doesn’t require a code to enter, and plenty of staff.
